Meetings Overview
Meeting Times & Locations: The regularly scheduled meetings are November 15th - March 15th at 1pm and March 16th - November 14th at 9am in the Commissioner Room in the south hallway of the Hutchinson County Courthouse located at 201 W Mentor St Rm 166 Olivet, SD.
Time & location subject to change due to weather, elections, or other events.
Open Meetings Law: All meetings are advertised and held in accordance with the South Dakota Codified Open Meetings Law 1-25.
Public Comment: Every regularly scheduled meeting includes a public comment period called 'Public Comment' for citizens to address any issue that is not part of the meeting’s official agenda or public hearing. The Board of Commissioners welcomes public comment on policies and issues affecting County government and its operations. The name and area of interest of the speaker will be recorded in the meeting minutes.
Agendas: Agendas are typically on the website the Friday afternoon before the Tuesday meeting. Printed agendas are available at the meetings or in the Auditor Office.
Minutes: Minutes for the meetings of the Board of Commissioners are the official record of the meetings and will be posted online and available for public viewing in accordance with state law.
